A footbed that appears separate in a photograph may be attached, and not every version within a model family uses the same interior. Ask for confirmation on the selected product before planning to exchange its liner. Do not pull apart an unfamiliar shoe to discover whether a component was meant to be removable. The feature is a starting point for fitting or care, not a guarantee that any replacement insert will work.
Compare the replacement as part of the shoe
Follow the insert’s instructions about the factory liner and assess the complete arrangement. Check that the device sits appropriately, the upper has enough depth and the heel remains positioned within the collar. A thick replacement can change room over the toes even when its length fits the shoe. Keep original components so you can identify what changed during the trial. For prescribed orthotics, bring compatibility questions to the prescriber rather than trimming or stacking devices to force a preferred shoe to accept them.
